The PassionIT Story

I got into fixing computers back in the early 2000s after high school, starting a mobile repair service called "Bennetto's Bytes" to help folks with their tech problems. Even then, I knew technology was what I wanted to do with my life.

After settling back in Tri-Cities in 2013, I worked at a couple IT firms but noticed many organizations were overpaying for overly complex systems. They were being sold solutions designed for much larger companies, with monthly fees that kept climbing. I knew there had to be a better way.

In August 2016, I started PassionIT to offer simpler, more affordable options for nonprofits and small organizations. It's more work on my end to set up self-hosted solutions instead of just pointing clients to cloud subscriptions, but it's far more rewarding knowing that money saved on IT goes toward the real work these organizations do.

The name comes from my genuine interest in IT—it's what I'd tinker with anyway, even if nobody paid me for it.

My family and I live in Kennewick—my wife and three kids are all part of the local schools and community. We moved here in 2013 and have been here ever since. This is home.
